Has the industry done to music what McDonald’s has done to eating?

About This Quote

The music industry has been a king of the hill for a long time. However, many people feel that since the introduction of fast food, music is no longer a priority. In the past, the music industry was very protective of their artists. There was a point where if an artist didn’t have a record contract, they would not be allowed to perform.

In some cases, there were even physical restrictions placed on artists so they could be protected from scammers and impostors. Even with these restrictions, artists would still try there hand at different genres without worrying about what the industry had to say about them. Fast food changed everything and now that they can make money off of their product they care less about who actually makes it.

Since fast food took over and music became more like a commodity than an art form, people stopped caring as much about those who create it and now it is filled with those who only care about the money.
